They aren’t setting themselves up for success. Every nurse knows you gotta put the harmonic scalpel on top of the cautery. You need dat space

I mean you’re not wrong, but you’re probably also not right.

It probably would be quite unpleasant, hence the anesthesiologist.

A laproscopy is when an incision is made, usually near the navel, in the abdomen, and then a … basically mechanical camera snake… is inserted into the abdomen, to get a look at usually the organs in/near your pelvis.

Segmentecomy means they are also removing some kind of… growth on, or portion of, some organ.

I think lateral means the actual cut is being made on one or the other side of the patient, their right or left kidney, but it may also refer to the general orientation of the cut itself.

      Not a surgeon, not sure.

So yeah, its a snake camera getting inserted into a cut in your abdomen so a surgeon can better see their hands, with a scalpel, taking a tumor or cyst off of your liver or something like that.

Not exactly what I’d call a pleasant insertion.

… Also you should try anal.

Considering that the surgeon had to rip them a new one to stick that in, yeah, I’d say so.
