Absolutely the mentality of the majority unfortunately. And the rest don’t believe in any type of civil disobedience unless their fearless leader, the t-Rex handed orange man, incites it.
Just an unconsequential nobody rewriting the power structures that bind us.

And we think the people trained by Israel are going to not attack journalists? They’re trained to attack journalists just like Israelis.
Almost like it’s a bad idea to come out and mass threaten the livelihoods of employees you need. Weird.
And this is the exact reason nothing will change. We’re whipped and the world sees it.
Hegseth: Be ready for war Trump: You can practice on our cities!
I hate to be that guy but this whole thing has frustrated me deeply. It shows we’re willing to fight back and do know how, but our selective use of that power is rather superficial.
Yes, I understand this was very important in the realm of speech but it still has an overtone of celebrity culture. Most people can’t be bothered to boycott to end genocide or to protest legislation or support the courts or to advocate for worker rights or healthcare, but to save a celebrity that makes this nightmare easier for them to swallow every night? Sign everyone up!
It feels less about protecting free speech and fighting fascism and more about them protecting their humor drug that makes “the bad place” more palpable.
Americans know how to fight back they’re just unwilling to do it unless their TV personality who gives them feel good juice is on the milk carton. I know that’s harsh but it’s just frustrating watching everyone cry about how helpless they are until their feel good nightly placebo(s) was/are on the line.
Again, I get the importance and the way the target was clear etc. It’s just frustrating to watch people cry they don’t know what to do then step up big time for famous people but not their communities, neighbors or their own family’s wellbeing.
This is a huge win and I don’t mean to detract from that. Please keep boycotting and hopefully this drives it home to more people that this is an effective tactic across the board. I just needed to vent a little.
And I love that for them.
Is this what they mean when they say, “the meek shall inherit the earth”? Should we all just step back slowly and watch the show. I’ll bring the popcorn.
Well, just learned about him today and probably first and last.
Continuous pressure on power and hope. I don’t have the luxury of cynicism or apathy.
Oh trust me. I know. But something has to give. I need it to for our own personal lives. I have a personal connection to Gaza. I need something, anything, to give. Even just a trickle more of aid is something. Everyone is sick and there’s no steady clean water and no food. I can’t do anything when there’s nothing there physically. They’re bones and fighting infection. Everyone is already so so weak and everyone is dehydrated and ill. Calories. Just calories. Two kids were hospitalized last week. None of the adults are eating. Watching someone lose weight day by day is only something I ever dealt with with cancer patients. Not healthy adults. They’re dipping into the realm of they’re going to need extensive treatment to recover. But anything is better than nothing. We just need something hearts are going to start giving out soon and I can’t. I just can’t.
I don’t need politicians absolved. I need hope. And we need food.
Van Hollen of Maryland and Merkley of Oregon produced the report after a week-long visit to Israel, the occupied West Bank, the Rafah border with Gaza, Jordan and Egypt at the end of August. The damning 21-page report is titled, “The Netanyahu Government is Implementing a Plan to Ethnically Cleanse Gaza of Palestinians. America is Complicit. The World Must Stop It.”
They acknowledged that the campaign of destruction included the destruction or damage of 92 percent of housing units, 94 percent of the enclave’s hospitals, 92 percent of schools and university buildings, and 86 percent of water and sanitation facilities.
They said that Gaza Humanitarian Foundation sites, the scandal-plagued aid scheme backed by the US and Israel, were built as tools to restrict the flow of food and control the movement of the population to the point where Palestinians find it so unbearable that they “volunteer” to depart.
The senators found that unnecessary screening and red tape meant that less than one-tenth of humanitarian aid entering Gaza via the Jordan Corridor was able to make it through.
This is despite the fact that the US had provided 280 trucks and helped build 10 warehouses to triple the capacity for humanitarian aid along the Jordan Corridor, enabling 150 trucks per day of aid.
They also shared how the US had spent about $1.5 m to purchase advanced screening machines, following a request by the Israeli government, but since the ceasefire ended in March, “Israel no longer accepts trucks screened at the US facility”.
The senators said that Jordanian officials told them convoys were coming under increasingly frequent attacks by violent settlers and protesters in recent weeks, who slashed tires and “inserted substances into the diesel tanks to render the trucks inoperable”.
Overall, the senators concluded that “the world has a moral and legal obligation to stop the ongoing ethnic cleansing… Strong words alone will not be sufficient. The world must impose penalties and costs on those who are implementing this plan”.
Wow. Never saw this coming but fucking finally. They just needed it turned into someone else’s genocide. NOW FOR THE LOVE OF ALL THAT IS HOLY HELP. We don’t have time left. We need action NOW.
Lance Twigg sounds made up to be honest. But feels like a lot of names in headlines these days sound made up— so it’s hard to say.
I kind of hope they all make even bigger jackasses of themselves before they have to walk back this whole thing and make them all look like fools they are again. But I guess we’ll have to see. It just feels like more hate mongering no matter how you look at it.
Either way they’re claiming they had an intimate relationship which I just don’t get that vibe, especially since the roommate has been supposedly eager to cooperate and say anything they want them to say. Even so far as saying they are the one who turned Robinson in which seems wild to me considering it conflicts with other verified accounts of events.
Also, the claims Robinson’s classmate said he was a leftist were false. And the details of the discord the fbi said they had was false. So, I have a feeling they’re going to look stupid yet again. We’ll see.
So many details and accounts that just don’t add up in general. Only thing that’s for sure is the right is going hog wild on hate. Their favorite pastime.
Nah by phone is boomer. By email is Gen Xer. By text is millennial. By Snapchat is Gen Z.
I absolutely agree with that and can see it. People think when Trump disappears things will improve but I am very skeptical on that front. He’s a very natural conclusion to a long line of dominos. I don’t know what’s next but I’m almost more scared someone competent will step into his place. We can’t even handle the incompetent megalomaniac, what happens when someone intelligent and calculating takes his place?
This. We’ve begged our attacker to see our humanity and it’s only emboldened them.
Have you ever had a long conversation with a Trumper? I don’t think you have. And I speak up for Trump voters a lot more than I should because I know some women I care about who aren’t deep thinkers and who follow the men who surround and control their lives. I’ve gotten them to bend ever so slightly on some things.
But the method you’re suggesting is not viable at this stage.
**They’re on to “this is good vs evil” and guess who’s evil? Not them. It’s game set match. I don’t think we’re coming back now and I’m normally toxically optimistic on this topic. **
I’ve been trying to wear down Trump supporters in various arenas for years. You can get them to come almost to a rational conclusion then they get their MAGA propoganda update and it’s back to square one. And they all seem to get their upload at the same time which I’m still trying to figure that one out. And it’s not Trump himself because they don’t actually listen directly to Trump. But they’ll all magically have the same talking points and claim to be first hand account eye witnesses of whatever said phenomenon is. Which is wild bc they all sound like broken records and swear they saw X y z with their own eyes. Which is clear bullshit for anyone who confronts multiple of them from work to school to the bar to family get togethers. They all saw those litter boxes with their own eyes (it was their kid, their niece, their friends kids school) and they all saw the Venezuelan gangs roaming the streets. They were there! They saw it!!! It was in (name their nearest city)!!! Just to name a few examples.
I challenge you to sit down and have the small conversations you’re advocating for with a Trump voter. Really sit and listen to them. No confrontation, no arguing your point. Just listen to them. You’ll understand what I mean. But this new “good vs evil” is final stage stuff. We’re cooked.
Ronald McDonald to the rescue. Where oh where art thou Ronald?
Smells like a Presidential Medal of Freedom. Because you know, hate mongers stick together. In other news, looks like a white Christian 22 year old male was turned in by his church… so radical
Or they’re just going to keep letting them have their pointless parades and nothing will change except the public will feel they’ve “done” something until a few months when they have another parade again…
