At least in my area of Wisconsin all but one of the items on my ballot didn’t go the way I hoped it would. And that was the state constitution amendment which was deliberately written to manipulate voters. Jill Underly held her office as state superintendent of public instruction, the school referendum passed and Susan Crawford won a vacant supreme court seat. So while not wins all the way down they are very important regardless

Considering the Democratic Party has done this 3 times in a row and that they refuse to primary wildly unpopular members of their own party.

They are extremely tone deaf and out of touch with what the voters want. It’s why I want the progressives in the party to split off. The progressives are screwed if they stay, so why not leave and have an actual fucking chance?

Bernie Sanders got screwed over by the super delegates who all went for unpopular Hillary Clinton. Imagine how wildly different things would be if he was the Democratic nominee in 2016?

Any backtracking would be useless, once the country is gone there is no way to put it back together without a lot of bloody violence. Even then it will be a powder keg ready to explode again as soon as the leader who managed to put it back together is gone.

These 50 states are held together by a common history and the republic they participate in. The history is meaningless once the republic is gone.
