Thank you, Senator Booker!
Thank you, Senator Booker!
“Sir, when you hear the shots, reach up to your ear and squeeze the little packet so the liquid smears on your ear.”
“Like this?”
“Please don’t eat it, sir.”
It would be more effective to threaten sanctions if the US proceeds if the goal is it to deter them, then if it doesn’t work, you impose them as punishment and a bargaining chip to get them to pull back.
Everyone knows that. The point is to create a deterrent by making it clear that they are 1) taking the threat seriously and 2) already preparing and planning to defend, IOW not fucking around. Sending some extra troops to the island and/or flying some jets around the area on a regular isn’t a bad idea either.
NATO countries should put out a statement that they are ready to defend Greenland from any incursion.
I don’t want my state to join Canada (it’s a red state far from the border), but I want to immediately move to one of the states that would be joining Canada. So I think the poll results would be even higher if the question was asked in a way to include people who would answer like I did.
Because the DOJ who would charge them is being run by the same criminal mob.
“Why is everyone in MAGA going after Waltz when it was @PeteHegseth@SecDef that sent all the classified stuff?” posted former Rep. Adam Kinzinger (R-IL), a longtime conservative critic of the president.
Why not both? Or all for that matter. They were ALL violating the Federal Records Act, a crime.
They were a bit vague, I think because they don’t know whether Waltz personally set up the chat or had someone under him do it for him. Either way he’s the participant who is responsible for the invites. I’d just like more details on how it could have even happened that JG was added.
So many questions. Did Waltz (or underling) think the initials represented someone else they meant to add (and if so, who)? Did they just fat finger tapping on a list of names? Or maybe carelessly re-used a name list from some previous chat that JG was in? If it was an underling, did they know who JG was and deliberately added him in to leak the illegal avoidance of the Records Act that’s been going on? It’s all just so weird.
Thanks. From reading that it sounds like it was indeed Waltz himself. He is described as “the top aide” (who included Goldberg) .
I haven’t found anything so far saying who invited him in. Just passive voice that he was “inadvertently” included. So in your source that it was Waltz, did it say whether he personally did it or was it one of his staff? I’d be interested to know how it happened. Did someone misunderstand who “JG” meant? (apparently it was just his initials). If so, who with the initials JG did they think they were inviting. I’d appreciate any link with that info if you have it.
Every time I see a headline saying trump’s approval rating has plummeted, I look and it’s always in the mid to upper 40’s. Every time. It never changes.
Meanwhile, I suspect that someone on the inside quietly looped the journalist into the group as a way to expose what’s been going on. If so, that person is in grave danger.
OTOH he did stay on it as long as he could while still being able to protect himself by saying he didn’t think it could be real and most likely a scam or attempt to entrap, plus the thread was basically over by then anyway.
No heads will roll. What most stories miss is that the main reason they didn’t use official channels for this (and most likely many of their other conversations as well) is that they don’t want to comply with the Federal Records Act. They don’t want there to be a record of a lot of the shit they’re saying and doing and plan to do.
That was it, thanks.
He’s already threatened to stop federal funds going to Maine because the governor there said something he didn’t like (I don’t remember what it was).
Yeah I’d much rather see a photograph of that.
Ms. Vance is scheduled to make a series of cultural stops after her arrival on Thursday, separate from Mr. Waltz. The national security adviser is supposed to be traveling earlier in the week with the U.S. energy secretary, Chris Wright.
First, don’t meet with them. Don’t give them a diplomatic escort, but maybe follow them around with a few troops in case you want to stop them going to certain places. Or don’t let them in at all.
I assume they plan to land at the US military base–I don’t know if that means they don’t have to ask permission to enter Greenland’s airspace and land? But depending on how much Denmark wants to scale up the tensions, they could either refuse them permission to land or let them land but refuse to let them exit the US base into Greenland’s territory.
Either way, start procedures to close the base and kick them out. They’ve given more than enough justification by threatening Greenland. Whether you really want to close the base or not, threaten to and then you can negotiate for some kind of payment to let the base stay. That’s what trump would do and what he would respond to. You have to stand up to a bully or they’ll never stop bullying you.
Is this how quickly people forget? Never again buy a Tesla, or Tesla stock, and never stop letting those who do know what you think of them for doing that.
