  • It’s been my worry for the past few weeks, tensions are so high and the administration is itching for the excuse to become even more heavy handed and draconian. I’m of the opinion this(not this moment but the full situation we find ourselves in) is all gonna end in massive violence one way or the other but I worry about this protest specifically because of how it’s been organized.

Requiring full and and email to RSVP to it? And how they’ve been working alongside the cops to make sure it’s just a demonstration and not a proper disruption. To me that screams bad opsec at minimum and if just one of the protests gets violent the fascists will get that list and use it as an excuse to round folks up and scare the shit out of others who want to stand against them.

I don’t want to tell people not to go, I went to pretty much every associated protest all summer in my area. But everyone should be extremely careful, don’t RSVP just show up, be wary of any bridges, and most importantly DONT BRING YOUR FUCKING PHONE

  • I think that if there are historians left to analyze this in 30 years they’ll probably drop the start line around the assassination of Charlie Kirk. There definitely are multiple different factions even within the conservative movement they haven’t completely turned on one another, the left is similarly at odds with itself.

When we see the White House calling on generals to be prepared to invade American cities with the military, judge’s houses are being burned down after giving verdicts disliked for political inconvenience, Chicago, Portland, LA, DC are all seeing extreme escalations in state sanctioned violence, states sending their national guard to other states to quell chaos that isn’t there, and mass shootings nearly everyday, sometimes several. To me that’s civil war that’s started heating up.

But if you’d rather call what were currently seeing and experiencing something like The Troubles in Ireland and wait until the conflict is even more overt feel free.

  • I grew up in a close enough to her district that my hometown might get gerrymandered into it at some point. This is the correct take, and I say that because of how many women I know from the area that are exactly the same. Not the sharpest tools in the shed, hell I’d say among the dullest, but they believe in protecting children above all else.

I don’t like Greene one bit and generally think she’s a bad person, but she does believe in something, which is more than I can say for Trump who only believes that he should have power
