We were there years ago. I’m Canadian. In our parliament we have opposition. Sure, it’s not always effective and it can slow things down. However, having opposition in government means that the hasty, bad decisions need a moment to be considered by everyone. I know it doesn’t always work, but it IS important. The American Democrats should be a gateway that filters out personal and political missteps.
