When all the madness started I was reminded of an 80’s movie called Red Dawn. Although this isn’t a traditional invasion, I’m quite dissapointed in Americans response so far.

But as a recipient of some foreign policy freedom in the 80s by the USS new Jersey on Beirut, I wish I could be selective in whose face the leopards eat under this administration. It’s absurd to think if any other country had been behaving like the Trump administration, the USA would have been the first to apply pressure for human rights abuses. Ideally someone needs to give the Americans some of the “freedom” they’ve been bombing across the world.

Exactly, that’s where I was trying to get to, is there a plan, general strike, mass protests to cripple the country? Or is it going to be a wimper into the goodnight…

As a non American I’m not sure how you’re going to overcome this, if the bill passes the house you’ve essentially given Trump a loyal private army given the ICE budget and it doesn’t look like anyone has the stomach to do what’s needed in opposition. Democrats are still attacking Mamdani lol, the system is beyond corrupt.

Their opinion doesn’t count, as long as the big corporations and racist lobbyists are happy, the people’s will means nothing.
