    You might be right in spirit, and of course I agree with the general sentiment, but technically no, that’s not your money anymore and it would not be theft. That’s not how taxation works.

    When you pay SS payroll tax, you’re not putting money into a retirement account.

      Perhaps, but does represent an agreement with the government that they will take a portion of your, and your employer’s money each year, and when you reach the right age, they will write a check every month.

      They can’t unilaterally choose to stop honoring their side of the agreement based on the ignorant and illegal opinions of a Foreign Sociopathic Oligarch and the most prolific traitor in American history.

          They can try, but ending Social Security could very well be the biggest predictably avoidable political blunder in American history.
