Or assassinations the list of autocrats who ended up dead because they pissed off their inner circle is long indeed. All it’d take for Trump to die is for one of his inner circle to get burned at the wrong time and oops Trump was pushed down the stairs and broke his hip.

Lutnick was trying to competently play “good cop, bad cop” diplomacy for Trump, because of Trump’s personal fixations with tariffs, and was mildly successful as far as successes in this administration go. But I remembered we can’t have any semblance of independent thinking in the Trump administration, no siree. It all makes sense now.
