Lol, looks like you can’t read after all.
Even then, if you can “only” afford $5m, you’re a criminal when you can’t pay the next round of dues.
If you expect the Trump administration to refund anything, I have a bridge to sell you. (This isn’t to you personally)
It won’t be low turnouts, though. The majority of people who go to those things are wealthy, and the US doesn’t have a problem with them. Shit, wasn’t the last world cup rife with human rights violations?
I totally agree with you, but it feels weird saying things like this, because it’s what the xenophobes would also say.
Like foreign students. Telling them to stay away because it’s dangerous for them here feels wrong, even though it’s factually correct.
Except there will be no refunds.
They won’t be missing the cheap immigrant labor once they get to the stage in their plan where their concentration camps provide that labor for ‘free’.
You have to realize that by the very nature of being on Lemmy, you’re vastly more informed than the average voter.
If the only news you consume is from Fox, you wouldn’t be able to see all that stuff.
It was enforced once in 94. That’s it.
Yeah, I misread Muricans as Mexicans, which is why I deleted my comment. But my other comment still stands.
I like how you ignored half of my response like you called me out for.
I don’t usually support others suffering, but for you I’ll make an exception. I hope you have a terrible day.
Don’t bother responding to me, because I’ll no longer be engaging with a sociopathic piece of shit.

Right, that’s a problem. You need therapy for your lack of empathy for the innocent people who will suffer and your celebration of them suffering. You’re mentally ill.
And I ignored you because I wasn’t going to waste my energy correcting you on it. But I am now.
Protests don’t have to have an immediate effect. The fact that people did organize is the resistance you’re missing. Protesting is doing something. Yeah, no one has dragged the Texas legislature into the streets and shot them, but things will have to get a lot worse before people turn to violence.
You also conveniently ignored the fact that millions upon millions of Texans voted against this shit. The fact that they were outnumbered or straight up suppressed doesn’t mean people weren’t trying to affect change.
And it gets harder and harder to affect change if people just leave.
The fact that you’re not ashamed for joking about a natural disaster where a bunch of children died says a lot about you as a person.
Many of the people who will suffer have absolutely no control over the situation.
Not everyone has that option, and telling the people who are resisting to leave just lets the bad actors have full control.
But honestly, you can go fuck yourself for joking about innocent people dying because their state government sucks.
It’s not a laughing matter and you should be ashamed of yourself.
Yeah, fuck the people in Texas who voted against this bullshit, right?
Based on a source from another comment, they kinda did.
Honestly, people largely ignore flash flood warnings around here. There are just too many false positives.
Not all of us voted for this
